About

I am an exiled 'Geordie' and amateur photographer who has had his interest revived by the advent of the 'digital age'. I also love Jazz, and it is good to hear great live jazz at local pubs and be able to also take some photographs

Consequently, the main Galleries on this site are of images taken at the Monday Jazz nights in Bedford that feature top jazz musicians and singers. These are digital images, taken without flash, and from a fixed position. Like top photographer, the late David Redfern, I believe the musicians, and the audience, should not be disturbed by flashing lights and someone constantly moving around in front of them to 'get the best shot'.

The other Galleries include, 'Blues Singers' and 'North East England', and these contain images shot in the late 1960's and early 70's using 35mm film and processed at the time in my blacked out bathroom. These 40+ year old images have subsequently been enhanced on the computer.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy the photographs.
